International Self-Report Delinquency Study (ISRD)

Mexico

Brief description:
ISRD3 was already conducted in the city of Guadalajara, which is the second-largest city in Mexico. For ISRD4 data will be collected from Guadalajara and the city of Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua. Both belong to the top 10 cities with more population in the country and the decision to choose them was based on the number of persons they have and their conditions. For example, Juarez is located in the frontier with the United States which could have interesting effects on juvenile delinquency results, and Guadalajara is one of the most important cities in Mexico in terms of its economy.

How it is funded?

The application is funded by a variety of collaborators such as Mentte CEDAT a non-governmental organization, FICOSEC Juarez which is a trust supported by a network of businessmen in the city of Juarez, and finally through the collaboration of the academy with the participation of the researcher representative Aurea Grijalva from the University of Guadalajara.
